One of Europe’s leading sponsorship agencies have an immediate requirement for an Account Director to join them to work on an exciting project for a major energy company.

Location: London / home based – they are happy for someone to be home based as long as you can get to London and happy to travel when required.

Salary: Circa £60,000 - £70,000 basic with bonus of circa £20k+

We may also consider a contractor / freelance consultant for this role.

As Account Director you will be highly driven, a skilled communicator, nimble problem solver and capable team leader. As Account Director your role will be to oversee a global partner programme for a major energy supplier.

As Account Director you will take a proactive approach to overseeing the acquisition and development of new partnerships, managing the client relationship and the activation of existing and new partnerships.

The project is aimed at producing a low carbon future and it is key that you have a passion for the environment. This is a global platform focused on delivering transformative collaboration in the energy transition, bringing together brilliant minds to share ideas, combine resources and work together to drive progress towards a lower-carbon world. Through a series of live events, complemented and amplified through an influential digital eco-system, the programme brings together the best engineering and technology students to design, build and race the world’s most super energy-efficient vehicles in conjunction with bringing together thought-leaders, academics, government officials and innovators from across the globe to debate, collaborate and drive progress towards a lower-carbon world.

You will be working closely with the Sustainability Advisor and key stakeholders to deliver a strategic coalition of like-minded organisations and a Sponsorship Sales Manager who will play a key role in further identifying and securing sponsors for the initiative across a limited number of global partners and local/regional partners.

As Account Director will play an important role in facilitating the identification of prospective partner objectives, and to oversee and support the development of compelling partnership propositions with support from the CEO, Senior Sponsorship Consultant as well as research support. As Account Director you will engage key stakeholders across and at various levels of the organisation based both in the UK, as host of the programme’s flagship event, and in the other regions of the Americas and Asia. The global interface will be managed primarily virtually with some international travel.
