A leading London based consultancy that specialises in user-centered design, customer experience strategy, user research and usability testing have several opportunities available for talented, experienced, inspiring consultants as either user experience consultants (UXCs) or principal consultants (PCs) to join them. £45,000 - Human Computer Interaction (HCI) experience is essential.
User Experience Consultants (UXCs), London
As User Experience Consultant (UXCs), you will develop, conduct, analyse and report primary user research intended to drive end-user requirements for web sites and other interactive products. As well as research, the UXC role also deals with information architecture, interaction design, page-level content organisation, navigation, and prototype creation.
You must also be familiar with secondary research sources and literature on user-centred design. The work may include focus group studies, ethnographic research, usability evaluations, questionnaire studies and other forms of research designed to gather end-user requirements. You will also be responsible for iterative usability testing to be conducted throughout the production process.
As a contributor to a multi-disciplinary project, you will work closely with team members to deliver user-centred interaction design and research recommendations. You will work with planning, visual design, technology and project management team members.
Principal Consultants (PCs)
As Principal consultant will be responsible for continued project execution but have greater expertise with user experience methods and techniques. As such they have an additional responsibility for supporting business development activities and supervising projects. PCs play a contributing role to the leadership of the consultancy, helping grow the talent capability by mentoring and training juniors.
Ideally you will be an experienced usability / HCI specialist wanting to push your skills in the IA and interaction design field or a veteran UX specialist wanting interesting projects, more control and a chance to teach others what you know.
In return you will be working for an independent company culture – no meeting fatigue, politics, timesheets, grey cubicles etc. You will get the chance to shape and be part of projects from beginning to end; to collaborate on cutting-edge projects and products with market-leading clients; to use multiple skills from research to design - not just sit in the same box; to work with others who are as talented and passionate as you and ultimately to work in a company that fosters individuality.
