Senior Engineer - Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery / Backup

A successful, high profile company in the insurance sector are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer responsible for Backup and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery to be based in Birmingham.

The role will be responsible for the enterprise backup solution - CommVault Galaxy Enterprise software in which you must have at least 2 or more years experience. In addition you must be experienced in the Advance Feature Packs such as Gridstor, Lan Free and SAN based backups, understand VMWare integration, SIS Archive as well as content indexing. It is expected that you will have knowledge of the usual backup requirements i.e. Exchange 2003 SQL 2005 AD win2003 etc Linux and ESX.
Must have experience in Disaster Recovery scenarios, clustering (Microsoft MNC), understand SAN’s (Cisco MDS ideally) and have a good grounding in enterprise storage (ideally HDS USPV). Have experience with NDMP backups ideally with NAS such as NetApp and Onstor.
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience and qualifications but in the region of £35-40k.
This position will form part of the data centre team and will answer to the Data Centre Manger and CTO. It will have the benefits of a company car, some working from home, and remote connection to home, laptop, phone.
The role will suit individuals currently working as a Senior Engineer, Business Continuity Consultant, Network Engineer, Disaster Recovery Engineer, IT Manager, Systems Administrator, Backup Engineer, Network Analyst and living within a commutable distance of West Midlands, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Coventry, Tamworth, Staffordshire or be willing to relocate.
