SAP Production Planner / Technical Administrator – 6 Month Contract

A successful, high profile company in the Scientific Instrumentation sector are now seeking to recruit a SAP Production Planner / Administrator for a 6 Month Contract assignment at offices in Shropshire.

Your role will involve working closely with both the MM manager and the production manager. Your responsibilities will be;

1.Identify Works Orders for kitting and print pick lists appropriately
2. Issue Components to Works Orders. Approx 18 manufacturing personell.
3. Resolve any SAP kit discrepancies post kitting & prior to presentation to workshop
4. Resolve any production SAP discrepancies prior to closing Works Orders (e.g. issuing scrap etc…)
5. Confirm Works Orders, Monitor their progress and completion dates. (Scheduling)
6. Start / devise a Production order completion Analysis. (efficiency metrics)
7. Transfer above into checking and amending routings.
8. Load Shop floor with production Plans
9. Allocating Serial No’s Batch numbers to products
10.Future poss. some capacity Analysis.
11. Assist in training production people on the use of SAP. Produce written procedures.

As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills;

a.Fully experienced with an SAP MM PP production planning role.
b.Good personal skills, communication skills and able to act as trainer and mentor.
c.Experience of Lean/JIT manufacture/Continuous Improvement 5S Advantageous.
d.Must be self-motivated and dynamic.
e.A good team player / problem solver.
f.Can do attitude / approach to work.

The role will suit individuals currently working as a Production Planner, Technical Administrator, Production Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Shropshire, Telford, Midlands, Cheshire, UK or willing to relocate.
