A major blue chip in the field of software, consultancy and systems for Financial Markets is now seeking to recruit Sales Executives with a successful, demonstrable track record of selling software and related services into the Financial Services market. The company has offices in central London and regional offices around the UK so your home location is not important.
You will be responsible for increasing revenues in the UK, Northern and Continental Europe. The territory will include selected accounts in London plus a number of countries within the region. This is a direct sales, quota-carrying position offering base salary and competitive commission levels. The sales executive is expected to develop new relationships and convert them into new accounts and to build on existing relationships with established accounts.
Your daily responsibilities will include working with sales management to develop and execute account plans for target market sectors, identify and undertake specific initiatives to win new business at each account, identify, contact and qualify new prospects within the territory, cold calling and following up marketing leads, develop and execute responses to queries from prospects and clients which may take the form of informal requests or more formal RFI/RFP documents, manage sales opportunities from first call through to closure and prioritising appropriately to maximise revenue.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years proven sales experience of software, hardware and related services to the financial services market, a degree level education and deep knowledge of some or all of; financial markets and derivatives, risk management and risk systems, knowledge of the independent valuation market.
The salary on offer will be in the region of £75,000 base plus 150k OTE & benefits. The role will suit individuals currently working as Sales Executive, Account Manager, New Business Sales, Business Development, Sales Manager and living within a commutable distance of London, Birmingham. Manchester, Leeds, Nationwide or willing to relocate.
