One of the UK’s leading Food Service brands has created a unique position for a Senior Sales Manager /
Office Manager within its sales division. The role will be focused managing a telesales team based at the
company’s new depot. The company is rapidly increasing its market share due to its innovative approach
to new business and unrivalled service to existing clients so would like to appoint a Senior Sales Manager
/ Office Manager to be promoted to National Telesales Manager within the year.
The Sales Manager will be working with the Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible for
managing the company’s telesales activities.
Responsibilities
With RSM to monitor telesales performance and regularly analyse customer reports, reacting
promptly to any problems.
Along with RSM to share responsibility for any customer queries or complaints.
To report on market intelligence, e.g. competitors’ price changes, promotional activity and new
product listings; and share this knowledge with the team.
To maintain all company equipment in good working order
To maintain a professional attitude when working with suppliers.
To provide management reports, forecasts and information to support the sales team.
To constantly identify training needs and communicate them to the RSM.
To comply with Health and Safety and all relevant legal and company policy and procedures.
Have a structured sales training and coaching plan documented on a training matrix with an
agreed allocated time frame.
To manage and develop the Telesales Operators to achieve their sales objectives by spending
time with them, identifying training and development needs as appropriate.
To promote a culture of teamwork, high morale, support and ‘no blame’ within the area of
responsibility.
To train and develop the Assistant Sales Office Manager.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Telesales Manager, Office Manager, Sales Manager,
Business Development Manager, Sales Director and living within a commutable distance of Barnstaple,
Devon or willing to relocate.
