IT Sales Executives – IT Managed Services, Nottingham

A leading Midlands based IT Services company, specialising in the provision of software and services for market leading Software Vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft, Juniper & VMware have an immediate requirement for 2 Sales Executives to join their Database Practice and complement the existing twelve strong sales team. This is part of a major expansion which will see them grow revenue to over £10m, staff numbers to 50 and has already seen a move into prestigious new offices.

They provide a range of IT services focused around core areas of Relational Database Management, E-Business Applications & Secure Remote Access. These services include database support & managed services, project delivery, remote systems management & training/skills transfer. They specialise in the provision of services and products based around technology from ‘best of breed’ vendors such as: Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, Juniper, Check Point, Nokia, SurfControl and RSA

They are accredited by Oracle and Microsoft at the highest level.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 1-2 years sales experience (or exceptional sales people with less experience) in an IT related role or people able to demonstrate a high degree of computer literacy and be a quick learner. A degree qualification or a vocational qualification with good A levels would be useful.

ou will be self motivated, can take constructive criticism and work well in a team based environment Ideally you will live within 45 minute commute of Nottingham or be willing to relocate.

An extensive training programme is in place to equip you with the product and services knowledge you will need to be successful quickly. As IT Sales Executive, you will be based from the new Nottingham offices with UK travel to visit clients where appropriate in the future.

OTE £40,000. Base salary will be set by agreement on an individual basis. As you will be working in teams of two, partnered with an existing senior sales people, you will start earning commission from day one.

Your duties as IT Sales Executive will include:

• calling new prospects and following up leads
• identifying viable proposal opportunities and qualifying them accurately
• working with the existing sales people supporting them where necessary
• account managing assigned, existing accounts
• sales administration and paperwork issues
• reporting on weekly activity levels
