C++ Software Engineer – North Yorkshire
A successful, high profile company in the Software / Electronic Design sector is now seeking to recruit an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in C++ and will have experience of developing PC based application software, with special emphasis on the user interface. In addition, since the application area is electronics design, some knowledge of electronics will be required.
Salary
£25-35k: commensurate with talent and experience.
Essential Skills
PC/Windows application development in C++.
Experience of developing the front end of client based application software including complex dialogue forms and other elements the human-machine interface.
Basic knowledge of electronics (e.g. A-level physics or CDT, or hobby).
Desirable Skills
Experience with application frameworks e.g. MFC, QT, wxWidgets.
Experience and/or knowledge of embedded systems - especially PIC, AVR, 8051, or ARM.
Experience and/or degree level qualification in electronics design.
An aptitude for creating technical graphics – e.g. icon design and the ability to know when something ‘looks right’.
Ability to self motivate.
