C / C++ Software Engineer - Firmware / Digital Design - Reading
A successful, high profile company is now seeking to recruit a Software Engineer to work on Firmware / Digital Design and Development. The duties of the incumbent include the design and development of digital and analogue circuits and subsystems and the drafting of appropriate software / firmware to meet the requirements of the development project.
The current priority of the Software Engineer is the development of real time digital signal processors. Embedded Systems development using C / C++ and Assembler on at least one industry standard processor but with a strong preference for PIC based experience. Some experience of analogue design (audio / base band) and digital electronic design. Schematic capture on computer aided design package for PCB layout. Fully conversant with MS Office, MS Project, MS Access, MS Excel
The incumbent will probably possess a first degree in electronics, physics, mathematics or related science subject or equivalent qualification. Salary Scale: £30k-£40k per annum depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be currently working as a Software Engineer, Realtime / Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer, Digital Design Engineer, C / C++ Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Reading, Basingstoke, Newbury, Hampshire, Berkshire or willing to relocate.
