Software Engineer C / C++ – Newport, Gwent
A successful, high profile company in the electronics manufacturing sector is now seeking to recruit a Software Engineer with skills in C / C++ to be based in offices near Newport, Gwent.
As an experienced Software Engineer, the ideal candidate will be degree educated and have at least 4 years commercial experience. Your role as Software Engineer will be to an active and effective member of a multi-disciplinary team, developing high and low level software within R&D group product group, including a hands-on role in system specification and design, prototyping, testing, and release to production. You will ensure the timely delivery of fully documented working prototypes, assist in the development and support of system SDK’s, etc. as required, which satisfy the technical and marketing specifications. You will work on the design and development of high quality graphical user interfaces for all products and provide full documentation of all software and control of software releases.
As a Software Engineer you will have skills in C++ / C, Windows SDK, User interface design experience, WPF and Testing and have experience in engineering GUI’s and usability, Writing installations, USB/HID peripherals, Automated builds and Embedded driver/software development
Salary: Dependent on candidate and skills up to £36k plus company benefits.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Software Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Newport, Gwent, Cardiff, South East Wales, Monmouthshire and counties in the catchment area) or willing to relocate.
