Software Developer / Programmer C# .Net – Manchester / Cheshire
A successful, high profile company in the Life Science is now seeking to recruit a Software Developer / Programmer with experience in C# .Net to be based from offices near Manchester.
The Software Developer / Programmer is a member of a Software Development Team. The Software Developer / Programmer performs all aspects of Software Development including programming, system design, code review, design review, unit testing, and integration testing. Specific responsibilities include:
• Hands on Software Development of software products.
• Participate as a team member on product release projects.
• Work with Support to address customer issues.
• Effectively apply project methodology and standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have;
• 3+ years of experience in .NET including C#.
• A college degree, preferably related to engineering or software development.
• 1+ years of team software development with working knowledge of unit testing, source code control, defect tracking, and version management.
• Experience with OO design principles and UML.
• Familiarity and experience with SOA concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Oracle software technologies in the desktop application, client-server, n-tier and/or networking sectors, including .NET.
• 1+ years experience in an applicable business domain (LIMS, Chromatography, Pharmaceutical R&D, laboratory).
• Masters degree, or equivalent work experience, in the IT industry.
• Experience developing commercial software products.
• Experience working within a distributed, international team.
• Experience with Atlas Instrument Control architecture.
• Experience with Informatics CDS software framework.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Software Developer, Programmer, Software Engineer, Analyst Programmer and living within a commutable distance of Manchester, Stockport, Altrincham, Warrington, Cheshire or willing to relocate.
