Managing Director - Operations / Technology ( COO ) – Munich, Germany
A successful, high profile company in the Consumer Electronics sector is now seeking to recruit a Managing Director Operations / Technology (COO / CTO) to be based in offices near Munich, Germany, München, Deutschland. The candidate will join the company as a general manager
(Geschaeftsfuehrer).
The candidate shall have at least 10 years experience in the consumer electronics industry. He/she shall ideally have operating experience as a managing director (Geschaeftsfuehrer) at a small or medium sized enterprise. The candidate shall have 5+ years of experience in managing ODMs incl. contract negotiation and overall responsibility for the design, development and delivery of handheld mobile devices / handheld GPS / mobile phone handsets / Sat Nav Devices / PDA’s. The candidate shall have a Master’s in Engineering or similar.
The Company is young thus requiring individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit far beyond a regular engagement at a traditional corporation. Ambition, a hands-on approach and a high degree of flexibility are essential.
In cooperation with the CEO and CSO the candidate will formulate company and operational goals, manage the entire development process including ODM relations, suppliers and contract manufacturers, supply chain management and customer care and drive future product development.
The position is highly international, operating across cultural boundaries and managing international teams. A package to include a fixed and variable salary and stock options is on offer. As a guideline fixed salary is likely to be in the region of €120,000 per annum.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, COO, Chief Technology Officer, CTO and living within a commutable distance of Munich, Germany, München, Deutschland or be willing to relocate.
