MMOG Games Developer / Programmer - Computer Games - Singapore
A successful, high profile Computer Games Studio is now inviting applications for the position of MMO Games Developer / MMOG Games Programmer / Online Software Engineer / Minigame Programmer to work in MMOG Computer Games Development based full time in Singapore, South East Asia.
You will work directly with the Online Lead Programmer and Technical Director to;
• Implement game code conforming to performance guidelines and coding standards of the game/studio respectively.
• Report progress on programming tasks to the Lead Programmer on the game.
• Communicate clearly any designs or implementation of features on the game to peers and leads.
• Monitor performance and memory usage of implemented features.
• Conform to the integration practice for the studio.
Requirements
• Strong C / C++ skills and PC programming experience.
• Previous commercial experience working as a games programmer.
• Strong experience in graphics, sound, and maths (especially linear algebra).
• Knowledge of Win32 and DirectX API’s.
• Prior experience working on an MMOG.
• Knowledge in .NET, scripting languages and other related knowledge such as AI, physics.
• Unreal Engine 3 programming and/or scripting experience.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience developing networked and/or online game systems.
• Ability to work within an existing code framework and/or create new technology from the ground up.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong knowledge of common software design patterns.
• Tertiary qualifications in a computing related field – Computer Science degree or similar.
• Experience working on a team.
Salary is in the region of S$30,000 to S$54,000 (Singapore Dollars) depending on experience (due to the very favourable tax regime in Singapore this is roughly equivalent to £25,000 to £32,000).
The role will suit individuals currently working as MMOG Developer, MMORPG Programmer, Games Developer, Games Programmer, Online Software Engineer, Software Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Singapore, South East Asia or willing to relocate.
