Linux Systems Administrator – MySQL, Pearl, Apache - London
A successful, high profile company is now seeking to recruit an experienced Systems Administrator to be based in offices in London. Reporting to the Technical Architect as System Administrator you will be responsible for the Administration of a Linux based 24×7 mission critical Server and Applications in Live, DR and test environments.
Your main responsibilities will be the administration of Linux based server infrastructure including
• Configuration and maintenance of O/S and application components
• Ensuring robust systems are in place for the deployment of patch and major system upgrades
• Performance of daily housekeeping tasks
• Capacity and Performance Management
• Administration of databases used for transaction processing and back-office systems
You will also respond to incidents impacting processing and back-office services in timely manner consistent with the impact and ensuring incidents are communicated as per the agreed procedures, deployment of application updates ensuring the risk to the service is minimised and rollback procedures are in place if problems occur, respond to ad hoc requests raised via the ticketing system in a professional and timely manner, development of new projects and proposals and provide 24×7 Support on a rota basis.

Base salary £36,000 + oncall + Benefits.
