Database Administrator / DBA – North London
A successful, high profile company in the Personal Finance sector is now seeking to recruit an experienced Database Administrator / DBA to work in London. Salary in the region of £40,000 to £50,000 plus benefits.
The ideal candidate will have a very strong background in SQL server data warehousing and the construction of OLAP cubes. Together with a pro-active attitude, precise analytical skills and a desire to exceed their goals. Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all databases remain secure, available and provide optimal performance
Reporting directly to the Director of AI
Ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained to the highest standards at all times
Construction of smaller OLAP cubes to support specific reporting and operational functions
Creation and maintenance of an abstract data layer to serve as the input training data to a series of AI modules
To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
Ongoing integration of new data sources
Member of most exciting team within an already very exciting business!
Interaction with external development teams on collaborative projects and architecture
You will have:
At least 5 years in a similar commercial role
An excellent degree education in Computer Science or other numerate discipline
Strong background in SQL server database administration, and OLAP methodologies
Experience in deployment of reporting solutions via web and email
Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
Proven ability to multi-task, deliver exceptional results and motivate others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Exceptional analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic attitude and strong commercial acumen
The role will suit individuals currently working as Database Administrator, DBA and living within a commutable distance of London or willing to relocate.
