1st Line / Helpdesk Technical Support Advisor, SQL – Stockport, Manchester
A successful, high profile company in the IT Business Solutions Sector is now recruiting for the position of 1st Line / Helpdesk Technical Support Advisor. Please do not apply for this position unless you have experience providing support for users of SQL Databases.
Essential Experience
Experience of working in a Technical Support environment.
Experience of working with SQL databases.
MSCE qualified or working towards
Your main responsibilities will be:
• To provide 1st line support, answering queries via phone or email – relating specifically to SQL queries and Technical Support (hardware i.e. printers, domain, troubleshooting).
• To provide a excellent customer experience for all support queries and adhere to service levels.
• To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
• To log all calls and correspondence received on the call logging system.
• Respond to enquiries from clients and aid to resolve hardware and software issues .
• Refer any software or technical problems detected to Tier 2 so that they can investigate further or escalate if applicable.
• Ensure customers, colleagues and all other required parties are kept fully informed of enquiry progress.
• Plan work effectively to resolve customer queries over the phone or via emails within service levels.
• Other duties as required.
Starting salary – approximately £15k to £18K – depending on experience.
The role will suit individuals currently working as 1st Line Support, Helpdesk Support, Level 1, Tier 1 Support, PC Support, Network Support and living within a commutable distance of Manchester, Liverpool, Stockport, Cheshire, Warrington, North West or willing to relocate.
