A market leader in the oil and gas sector who offer a worldwide environmental engineering capability that is tailored to the needs of oil and gas clients have an immediate requirement for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join them at their headquarters in Aberdeen. Their capabilities range from small studies, undertaken to provide cost-effective solutions for environmental control, to comprehensive solutions for the provision of environmental impact assessment (EIA), development of associated environmental management systems (EMS), awareness training packages and assessment of through-life performance.

As Senior Environmental Engineer your main job responsibilities will be:
• Provision of general and specialist technical/environmental support services to the environmental team and its clients (both internal and external)
• Development and delivery of existing and new services
• Development and delivery of new business opportunities
• Planning and control projects/work from proposal right through to hand over and co-ordination of specialist sub contractors (lab services/sub consultants etc)
• In project management situations, co-ordinating work under management, delegate tasks, ensure deadlines are met, monitor and control the fees chargeable
• Assisting with the applications of the section’s quality systems

We are looking for candidates educated to degree level in environmental science or related area and proven track record of relevant experience of environmental project work, ideally within the oil and gas industry. Familiar with best practice from different industry sectors, you will have an organised, practical approach. The role will require adaptability and an ability to work to sometimes tight deadlines. There may also be a requirement to travel both offshore and overseas, sometimes at short notice.

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (depending upon experience and qualifications)
