A leading electronics manufacturer has an immediate requirement for a Programme Manager to deliver business-changing outcomes that will give them new capabilities. As programme manager you will be involved in new initiatives to win business in new sectors by finding solutions that can enhance turnover and profitability.
The key skills required are: the management of multiple projects and management of multiple functional skills from legal, through commercial, to technical and administrative.
Principal Responsibilities
• Receive briefs from management and translate these into vision statements that define the benefits from delivering the programme.
• Identify where quick wins and noticeable benefits can be shown.
• Identify the portfolio of sub-projects and activities necessary to deliver the programme.
• Hands-on leadership and participation.
• Sensitive to critical items and where intervention is necessary.
• Identify the stakeholders and describe their interest in the programme.
• Develop the communication plan and process review methods.
• Identify and recruit the participants, internally and externally, necessary to deliver the sub-projects.
• Convene and lead the necessary meetings.
• Identify risks and issue resolution techniques.
• Establish contracts.
• Deliver the programme.
Job Specification
• Professional project management experience.
• MBA or similar business qualification.
• Engineering qualification (pref electronics).
• Industrial background.
• Experience in an international Group.
• Experience as team leader.
• Contract negotiation/management.
• Experience in high value tenders.
• Proactive personality - act on own initiative.
• Pragmatic and practical.
• High integrity - responsible and trustworthy.
• Able to work with staff from all departments and at all levels.
• Able to find the right balance between challenge and facilitation. ‘Can do’ approach.
• Willing to travel.
• Multi-lingual ( esp European languages) – Ideally Italian / English
• International experience/training.
