Senior Product Manager – Consumer Electronics, Munich, München, Germany, Deutschland
A dynamic Consumer Electronics company is now seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Product Manager with a broad experience of both business and technology in the mobile handheld device sector. Fluency in English and German is essential. The ideal candidate will have solid commercial experience as a Senior Product Manager or Head of Product Management in the GPS hardware device, Radio handset, Mobile Phone handset or related industry.
It is essential you have experience as a Product Manager or Head of Product Management in the development of hardware devices in conjunction with an original design manufacturer (ODM). You will be working very closely with the heads of Marketing, Project Management and Supply Chain Management in a full life cycle Product Manager role. Please be aware that the position involves extensive travelling.
As an experienced Senior Product Manager it is expected that you will have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues, yet having a flexible mindset. You must enjoy high pace and be open to change. You will have excellent understanding of market needs and the competition. In your role as Product Manager you will; define product strategy and develop a roadmap, define products to meet and fulfil the strategy and roadmaps, develop the core positioning for your products, set list pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals, inform and train the sales force at new product launches, specify product design, manage patent development and handle all Product Life Cycle Management.
The ideal candidate will have a university education within technology or business and at least 5 years experience as a Product Manager in R&D-heavy early stage companies in the consumer electronics industry.
You will have proven demonstrable success product managing development and launches of excellent products along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English and German. You will have excellent technical knowledge of the GPS hardware device, Radio handset or Mobile Phone handset industry.
The role will carry a competitive package which will be negotiated based on experience. However, as a guideline it is expected that the package will include a salary in the region of €70,000 to €80,000 + Bonus.
The role will suit individuals currently working as a Product Manager, Senior Product Manager and living within a commutable distance of Munich, München, Germany, Deutschland or willing to relocate.
